Looking for an activity for the family that is healthy and has outdoor activities within one of Brisbane's most beautiful woodland settings?
Lakeside is located in a wetland flora and fauna reserve and as such has a lot of plants and animals that are unique to these kind of areas
We as members take pride that we are able to coexist alongside nature and all her creatures
Check out the new "Nature Slideshow" for a run down on some of the flora and fauna on the club grounds

If you have tried archery in the past or even if you haven't it doesn't matter really as we have full coaching facilities and are prepared to put in the time to get you fully trained
As for your preferences if you just prefer to shoot at targets then that is ok as a lot of members do not hunt.
If you want to learn to hunt we have a keen contingent of hunters in the club with a plethora of knowledge and information

Lakeside has two ABA ranges and two IFAA ranges winding through a forest with twenty targets each
We have monthly local and interclub competitions as well as coaching sessions- see the calendar link above
Whether you are a hunter or just out to have fun and learn then come along to a coaching session

For Enquiries contact the Web Admin or someone on the contact list

Holiday at Three Waters High Country Holidays - Peter & Robyn Roulstone
Rob and I wanted to get away from the rat race and at the same time try out our caravan to its fullest. To this end we decided to go to Three Waters at Glenn Innes because of the reasonable caravan rates and the relaxed atmosphere.

We got the goss about this place from Cameron and Liz so we were willing to give it a go.
We arrived after a five hour trip and after a friendly chin wag with hosts Steve & Kerry we set the caravan up with the able help of Steve. Unfortunately we found that Cameron had hurt his back and spent the time we were there in hospital.

Rob and I had a great and relaxed time though
We tried our hand at sapphire fossicking and managed to get four or so of reasonable size which was enough to make us contemplate trying our luck further down the track. We really enjoyed the horse riding and with the able company of Wwoofer's Lexy and Kathy we went on a two hour trek through the lush property.
There was plenty of wildlife including kangaroos, rabbits, ducks and other birdlife.

The horses were great, Rob was on Milo and I was on Tomahawk and these horses were superbly trained and for us it was a profound and exhilarating experience.

We spent New Years eve at 'The Gunyah' around a bonfire.
A few drinks, good food (we bought a couple of 1nch thick rib eye fillets for the occasion) good company and a few wild stories and poetry by host Steve all made a superb night to end the year and a prelude to the new year.

For us this was a a great and relaxing way to get away from everything
