Twenty-six
year old James Hamshere, a labourer from Shamley Green in England,
travelled to New South Wales on Fairlea in 1863. His sister,
Adelaide, had already married and settled in Sydney with her husband
John Stephens.
James
married Elizabeth Ann Clark (c1836-1925) in 1864 at St. James Church
of England in Sydney. They raised their large family in Botany
Street, Waterloo. |
