James Homer (c.
1800-1880), a plater from Manchester, earned his passage to
Australia on Elizabeth 1 when he was sentenced to 7 years
transportation in Warwick in 1820.
James may have married
Mary McCrone who bore him three daughters, Rebecca, Mary and
Margaret, when they lived in the Rockley area..
Old age was the cause
of James' death at Long Swamp, NSW.
