ABOUT US
Vintage Cookbooks was created in 2006
when the long-established internet and catalogue cookbook business Barbara
Fisher Old and Out-of-Print Books was acquired by Barbara and David
Russell, who transported it lock, stock and barrel to Melbourne. In 2007
the business expanded to a shopfront in Kallista in the beautiful
Dandenong Ranges, about one hour east of Melbourne on the doorstep to
the Yarra Valley. Vintage Cookbooks is also a virtual bookshop, with a
presence on Biblio, Biblioz, Books and Collectibles & Abe Books and we
send books all over Australia and all over the world. We stock a broad and
esoteric range: from a 1705 edition of William Salmon's "The Family
Dictionary" to The Margaret Fulton Cookbook; from the scarce
1898 Kandy Koola Cookery Book to Cookery the Australian Way. We have
early Mrs Beeton's, the culinary standards of Saulnier, Larousse and
Hering's and hundreds of examples of promotional ephemera. If you've been
searching for a book, we will do our best to track down a copy if we don't
have it in stock. We also have a quarterly catalogue of new and
