Life Membership for Mac

The Sea Lake Off Road Club held its 2007 wind-up and presentation of trophies in conjunction with the Mallee Shield presentations at the Sea Lake Community Complex on Saturday, February 9.

A highlight of the evening was presentation of Life Membership to Andrew (Mac) McClelland. Mac has been a stalwart of the club since its inception, a willing volunteer at events and was a representative on the state panel. He is always willing to travel to events such as the Nationals at Hyden in W.A. and The Finke in the N.T. to lend his support. He has been a competitor, official and of course support to all including his three sons, Alistair, Stuart and Cameron.

Congratulations Mac on a well deserved honour.

Club Champion at Last!

Neil Bowles had a fantastic season and a clean sweep, winning his class in all seven rounds of the Mallee Shield in 2007.

Neil has been runner-up in the championship points on a number of occasions, so it just goes to prove, persistence and consistency wins the day!

Club President Alistair McClelland presented Neil with his trophy and the perpetual glass-blown buggy.

Well done Neil on a great year.

2007 Mallee Shield Results

Congratulations to Jason Telford on winning the Victorian Off Road Championship.
This championship was contested over events held at Sea Lake – the George Bailey Mallee Rally, Mildura – the Sunraysia 500 and Bagshot at Bendigo.

The navigator amassing the most points over these rounds was Tristen Irving of Tallarook.
Well done Tristen.
