2014 Tyrrell Downs Short Course

First Outright – Tanner James and Adrian Lucy
Event was dusty but a breeze blowing from the east kept the spectators and competitors happy.
One lap of the 15 km track made up the first section to help sort the field. Vehicles left singly, a minute apart.
Cars started the second section of 4 laps, 2 at a time, 30 seconds apart.
Same for last section of 5 laps (as only 4 had dropped out of the field of 18).
Tanner James got the jump on dad Aaron and it stayed that way all day, finishing 1st and 2nd outright respectively.
3rd outright Dale Martin showed he is a force to be reckoned with in Prolite. (It was good to see Craig Martin pit crewing and spectating).
Cam McClelland took the opportunity to take partner Tasha as navigator and finished 4th outright.
Andrew McClelland handed the Alumicraft 131 over to regular navi Murray Mott who had son Harley navigate.
Wendy Hersey joined husband Bernie Clohesy for her annual event, saying it would be her last, but after having a class win decided retirement would be premature.
Dan Schiller drafted Pat Byrne to navigate after Synon Peers had other commitments. They blitzed the class 2 field with some very fast lap times.
