I have well and truly caught the Olympic fever that has spread throughout Australia and the world. In keeping with this Olympic Edition of Novo, I have a few fun Sydney/Olympic things to do this month.

1. Chill Out

Sit back and enjoy watching the Olympic highlights from the comfort of your lounge room. You can experience the best sports with close-up camera angles and the best seat in the house!

2. Mimic Your Olympic Hero

See how fast you can run the 100m, and find out how you compare to Maurice Greene. How about Thorpie's world record for the 400m freestyle? Test your skill in the sport of your Olympic hero and see just how fast, high and strong they really are.

3. Tell 'Em What you Think!                                                                                     

Send a hero letter, email or fax to your favourite Olympian or Paralympian, and tell them why you are so proud of their achievements

4. Mini Olympics

Get a bunch of friends together and play European Handball, football or any other Olympic sport in the park. Keep score and find out who wins the most medals!

Under $5 Fun…

Memorabilia to Last a Lifetime!

Collect photos, newspaper clippings, postcards and articles on the Olympics and display it in a small folio. It will be a great memory and you can show it off to your friends, children and even grandchildren in years to com.

Weather: Something fun to do on a rainy day.

1. Booze with an Excuse!

Some wine tour operators are offering Olympic ticket holders half-price fares. Ring wine operators in your area and see if you can still snap up this bargain.

$$$: $30 - $100 

Where: There are good wine regions scattered throughout Australia. 

Weather: It's more enjoyable in the sun, but any day is fine.

2. Join Them

Disappointed about missing the Olympics? Got Olympics withdrawal? Go and watch a Paralympic event to experience the atmosphere of over 100 countries having a great time
