"Life Cycle" Wheel
A large wheel with a graphic showing the life cycle of the penguin is turned by a smaller hand wheel, which drives it via a polyurethane belt. Since 1997 hundreds of thousands of visitors have used this interactive, and it has required no maintenance in that time.
