The Murray Darling interactive map is a lecture aid. The presenter faces the audience and navigates through a series of scenes using a touch screen controlling videos on the large plasma screen and associated lighting on the map. The touch screen carries lecture notes and a thumbnail of the plasma screen image.
We used Linux as the computer operating system, with a dual output video card to drive the two screens and an input/output card to run the lighting controller. The lighting is a combination of prewired LED strips for the main light boxes, custom LED arrays for the flowing rivers and neons for the large Agriculture light boxes.
