AEC Electoral Education Centre

A major project in 1997 was the Australian Electoral Commission's new Electoral Education Centre (AEC EEC) at 565 Bourke Street, Melbourne. Conceptual design was by The Purple Group, and we were responsible for technical design and construction of most of the display, including a great variety of mechanical, electromechanical and electronic interactives.

We have also been responsible for the maintenance contract for the Centre, and after two years and 60,000 or so children, there have been remarkably few problems or even visible wear. A very pleasing outcome considering the the many novel features!
