Coal Dredger Model
An impressive model of one of the coal dredgers in the Loy Yang open cut brown coal mine. The model is 1.9 metres long, and is fabricated from brass components. Beautifully detailed and finished.
Some detail shots of the model which give a good idea of the standard of finish. It is in HO (1:87.1) scale, which is the most common model railway scale. I've added some elements, such as the figure visible in the photo, a football team with goal posts at each end, cars, a bulldozer and a truck, to give a sense of the size of the real dredge.
