Immigration Museum puppet theatre

We've just finished this puppet theatre for the Immigration Museum in Melbourne - we're thrilled to bits with it (and happily, so are they!). Here are some shots of it in their store room after delivery. We'll get some shots of it in the future with a class of kids using it.

The brief: To build a puppet theatre in the shape of an ocean liner, with rocking movement and a sound component. Andrew Lewis, Head of Exhibits at Scienceworks, sent some sketches to Lucy Carroll and Georgie Meyer at the Immigration Museum and I shamelessly appropriated some of his ideas - thanks Andrew!
