Herald Letters 19 March 2004 This makes it all doubtful IF not for the article in The Herald (``No action on forged report `` 19/3) it may never have been revealed that an undisclosed proportion of submissions in support of the HEZ industrial proposal were in fact forgeries. Cessnock City Council and the State Government knew about the forgeries but approved the project anyway. Then they had the effrontery to celebrate the apparent ``swing" in public support for the project. Where is the government inquiry into the rezoning? The process has been opaque and I believe this makes it questionable. It's time the developers, the council and the State Government came clean. From Georgina Woods, Newcastle. |
