Pearl Beach to Patonga Beach Track

This is an easy walk of about 4.5 klms each way. I did the walk both ways of 9 klms plus lookouts in 2 hours.
It is well signposted and in fact, the part of the walk from Patonga Beach UP to Warrah Lookout is a section of
The Great North Walk. The highlight of the trek is Warrah Lookout, where you view east directly into Palm
Beach (Sydney), view center down the Hawkesbury River, and view west to Patonga Beach. Pearl Beach would
be one of the prettiest beaches on the Central Coast.......a number of famous personalities have their holiday
homes there. Patonga has more of a fishing atmosphere.

I popped into the Mt. Ettalong Lookout at the start (first 3 photos). The Lookout is just off the Mt. Ettalong Rd
on Umina Beach's southern headland. Look for the sign. Park next to the water tower and follow the track for
about 10 minutes to the lookouts.

Onto the Pearl/Patonga Track......drive down Pearl Beach Drive (off Patonga Drive) into Pearl Beach, turn right
into Diamond Rd. At the end, go straight ahead into the "No Through Rd" of Crystal Av. The Pearl/Patonga track
starts at the fire-trail gates on your left, just before the Crommelin Native Arboretum on your right. The track is
a wide fire-trail that slopes gently up all the way to Warrah Lookout. After about 2 klms you will see a sign on
your left "Warrah Trig Lookout". Walk about 20 paces to the viewing fence. Return to the main track and continue
on a few hundred yards towards Patonga where you will follow a sign off to the left "Patonga". The track now
becomes a true bush track and is easy walking. The last part down to the beach at Patonga is very STEEP !!
Going back UP is exhausting !! SUGGESTION: start at the Pearl Beach end and arrange to be picked up at
Patonga Beach.

Here are some photos i took (overcast/dull morning)............
