"The Land beyond the Black Stump"
There are many supposed black stumps throughout Australia but I claim the one at Blackall in Western Queensland as being the real one, mainly because the country north and west of Blackall has been my stamping ground for almost 20 years.

A little about me...

Hi! My name is Ross Craig and I live in Mount Isa which is situated in the north west of Queensland, Australia. I grew up just north of Brisbane and started my working life as a Teacher in Brisbane in 1978. It wasn't long before I was tranferred out of Brisbane to do the dreaded "Country Service" in Longreach, Western Queensland in 1980.

Over the last 10 years I have left the classroom and branched out into support roles with computer technology. In 1992 I moved further west to take up my present position which involves supporting administrative computer systems and networks in schools and in other educational facilities throughout Mount Isa District
