Tennis News:
After a long and useless career as a stay at home mum, I finally hit the bigtime winning in my first tournament! The winnings hardly covered the entry fee..... but it was fun anyway! Fixtures continue, with us holding the wooden spoon regularly, but it is fun nevertheless.
Family news....well nothing much changes. The girls are enjoying their respective preschools and Kindergartens immensely. Stacey celebrated her 5th Birthday in Brisbane with all the extended family present. We spent lots of time watching the Olympics, and taught the girls the "Aussie Aussie Aussie" war cry!
Daniel and I enjoyed a great trip to Melbourne in May, with the girls staying with the Thomas grandparents for the week. That was the start of a new phase of our lives helping with the creation of KIDS Aussie (Kids with Immune Deficiencies), a support group for those of us with Primary Immune Deficiencies. For those interested in more information, please enjoy a few of the links we have found.
In November I am going to Jerusalem with Dad, for a world congress of Support groups for Primary Immunodeficiency sufferers. The congress is held by IPOPI (International Patient organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies), in conjunction with the Nurses Group(INGID), and the European Society of Immunodeficiencies (ESID). I am sure I will be in way over my head, but am looking forward to hearing about treatments in other countries, and meeting some of the world leaders in research. There have been some major breakthroughs recently, and I can't wait!!
After the congress, we are travelling with Inner Faith tours on an eight day tour around Israel, which will be very interesting. I am sure we will have lots of photos to show at a later date.
