iPOWER provides a NiCd or NiMH AA or AAA battery charger AND "Energy To Go" or "Portable Power" to recharge most mobile phones from any alkaline or re-chargeable AA or AAA battery!

The 'Rezap USB iPower' from Digital Works is a small portable NiCd and NiMH battery charger and a USB power bank (Energy To Go) ideal for people on the move! Take it with you whilst travelling and recharge two or four AA or AAA batteries from your car, computer's USB port or any mains adapter from 6 to 12 Volts (500ma). Use your charged batteries (2 or 4) in the same unit to charge or power other gadgets thru the USB OUT port. Gadgets such as mobile phones, iPod or MP3 player, digital camera, GPS navigator, two-way radio or other device (PDA, PMP, Bluetooth earpiece, NDS, PSP). Supplied with 12 months warranty, in-car adapter, a USB extension cable (use it to charge from a computer or to extend the USB OUT), 2.1mm and 2.5mm DC power adapters and, as a bonus, we provide a 9VDC mains adapter (Australian customers only) valued at $16. NOTE, this unit does not recharge alkaline batteries (see RBC-883) BUT alkaline batteries can be used to recharge or power your portable device or mobile phone thru the USB OUT socket!

The Powertran alkaline and NiMH battery charger is so small and light that it can be taken with you on holidays! Recharges up to four AA or AAA batteries in any combination. Note, most small chargers must charge batteries in pairs whereas the A0280 charger will charge 1, 2, 3 or 4 batteries in any AA or AAA size! Features 100VAC to 240VAC operation (plugs into the shaver socket in your hotel). Microcontroller "intelligent" operation with automatic cut-off after 4 hours, over temperature protection, individual LED indication on all slots. Adventures in Rechargeable Batteries '...All rechargeable battery manufacturers love to boast about their product's current capacity (mAh). But there is a dirty little secret that they don't want you to hear: SELF-DISCHARGE RATE. ...I bought eight of those Energizer 2500mAh rechargeable NiMH batteries over one year ago. At first, I was very happy about the large current capacity offered by those batteries. But within a few months, I started to notice that they die very quickly in my digital camera. In fact, a set of Sanyo 2000mAh NiMH batteries I bought one year earlier seems to last much longer when used in the same camera. The Eneloop batteries are fantastic. Also, if you want a really cool charger, consider Rezap.' NOTE, the AA COMBO 2100mAh NIMH batteries are similar to the Sanyo eneloop 2000mAh batteries!
