Precision 1Kg (999.99g) electronic scale with a resolution of 0.01g for when a high degree of accuracy is required. These scales are suitable for laboratories, schools, universities and many businesses and has very good resolution, accuracy and repeatability. Weighs in 13 different units... gm (grams), ct (carat), lb (pound), oz (ounce), dr (dram), gn (grain), ozt (troy ounce), dwt (penny weight), MM (momme), tl.J (tael HK Jewellery), tl-T (tael Taiwan), tl.H (tael Hong Kong), t (tola). Supplied with a wind shield (or draft chamber) and a built-in bubble level to provide maximum accuracy. Particularly suited to calculating quantities as it counts pieces by weight. Starting count = 10, 20, 30... 100. Note, small components weighing only a few ten's of milli-grams can be counted with an initial manual count of only TEN pieces! The device can also resume the previously programmed count function with just one key press! These scales are powered by 4 x AA batteries or 9V mains adaptor (included). Ideal portable scales for weighing up to 0.5Kg and for counting small items... such as small components, jewellery, chemicals etc. With a resolution of 0.1grams it measures in grams, avoirdupois ounce (28.35g), pennyweight (1.56g) and troy ounce (31.10g). Other features include: protective plastic housing, 10mm (0.4") LCD display, tare function, piece or parts counting function, 2 min. auto power off, overload indication and simple calibration procedure (using 500g weight not included). Measures just 125x75x25mm (5x3x1"), weighs 150g and comes with 2xAAA batteries.

Ideal portable scales (so small it fits in your top pocket) for weighing small items (such as jewellery, chemicals, ingredients etc.) up to a maximum of 200 grams with a resolution of 0.01grams. Measures in g = grams, tl = 0.1 troy pounds (37.32g), ct = carat (0.2g) and dwt = pennyweight (1.56g). Other features include: protective plastic lid, 12mm (0.5") LCD display with backlight (use it in dark locations), tare function, auto power off, overload indication and simple calibration procedure using 100g standard weight provided. Measures just 93x52x20mm (3.7x2x0.8"), weighs 90g with batteries and comes with padded case and 2xAAA batteries.

According to the manufacturer, many police now carry a pocket scale with them for a quick preliminary reading on the amount of illegal substances found in searches and traffic stops. It can also be used for weighing gemstones, precious metals, gunpowder reloading and any high precision applications.

Further information:
All scales are splashproof (but not waterproof) and may be easily cleaned using a soft damp cloth. All scales above have a TARE function that means you can ignore the weight of the bowl or any other ingredients in the bowl and measure the weight of added ingredients only. Tip: when measuring large items where you can't see the display - press the TARE button then remove the object, the display will now show the weight as a negative value!
