Chapter 6

ozEkoala was heart broken when Dingo didn't turn up the second week in a row.  She blamed herself at first.   Why hadn't she challenged him straight away?  Why hadn't she spoken up the first time when he obviously needed help, but insisted he could handle it?  Why, why, why?  Her new worker was there again and saw her distress.

"You shouldn't blame yourself, you know", he said kindly. ozEkoala was startled.  How had he known what she was thinking?

"Have you read up to the part in the manuscript where it says:

"...each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire he is dragged away and enticed.  Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full-grown gives birth to death."

Dingo is responsible for his own actions."

"No, I haven't read that bit yet.... but how do you know about the manuscript?  Have you read it too?"

"I have always known the truth contained within the manuscript," said ozEkoala's newest employee quietly.

ozEkoala gazed inquiringly at the man before her.  Who was he?  She knew his name was some unpronounceable foreign mouthful, but beyond that all she knew of him was that he was an exquisite craftsman.  He had picked up the business side of the job with ease and was fast becoming almost indispensable.

"Maybe you can help me with this bit then," said ozE. "I read it this morning and it seemed to speak to me directly!"

"Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently."

"I'm sure it applies to me and Dingo.  I want to help him, but he's shutting me out!  And I don't even know how to help him anyway..."

"You care very much - I'm sure Dingo knows this and will come to you when he is ready. He knows what is right, but he doesn't want to admit he's wrong yet.  Until he does there is little you, or anyone else can do."

"I have asked God to help him.   Perhaps He is waiting for me to do something."

"God will show you what you should do.  Be at peace."

There was something about the way this man spoke that was irresistible.  ozEkoala found she couldn't worry anymore even if she tried, so she took the rest of the day off from thinking about Dingo and had another day of fun and adventure with the mysterious man she had employed to help her in her business, but who was rapidly making inroads into her personal life as well.
