Samuel Armas and his out of body experience

Out of his mother's body, that is. This morning I revisited Samuel's Story from my ozEkoala's mEanderings website. I googled Samuel Armus and was led to http://www.michaelclancy.com/wordpress. From there I caught up with Samuel's progress and more of the story behind the photo of him in the womb - or more to the point, 'out of the womb'. Have decided to put an update to the story on my site... when I am not so tired. I'm just putting this here to act as a reminder of my intentions.

Decisions, Decisions!

I published that last post on different blogs to see which one I liked best. I'm currently trying out Windows Live Writer which I like on first impressions. I think I like the look of ozEkoala's Wordpress best but I am leaning toward Blogger because of some services it links in with (notably, Picasa) and also some plugins I am going to experiment with in Windows Live Writer. Horses for courses, though, so I may use different blogs for each project.

Ok - time to bite the bullet and get something down on pa... the screen in front of me. My typing is atrocious these days but you won't see any of that thanks to spell checks and lots of backspacing and deleting on my part.

My options are, as I worked out this morning:

finish ozEkoala's Adventures
rewrite ozEkoala's Adventures
try to continue the Unfinished Story
write some more ozEkoala@theKeyboard type articles on miscellaneous topics
start an ozEkoala's Opinions blog for film reviews

I will ultimately be guided by what I find flows best, as always.

Writing is Good Medicine - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I see from my weblog that I read this article almost exactly a month ago - and in that time ozEkoala's mEanderings has been born...

Dante Gabriel Rossetti, the famous 19th Century poet and artist,
was once approached by an elderly man who asked him to look at
a few of his sketches and drawings. The gentleman wanted to know
if the artist thought they were of any value.

As gently as possible, Rossetti told the man that the sketches
were of no value and showed little talent. He apologized for the
harsh assessment but said that he believed he should be honest.

The visitor was disappointed but asked the artist if he could
take a look at just a few more, as they were done by a young art
student. Rossetti looked over the second batch of sketches and
immediately became enthusiastic over the talent they revealed.
"These," he said, "oh, these are good." He went on to say that
the young student shows much promise and should be given every
help and encouragement, as he may have a great future if he will
study and work hard.

The old man was deeply moved. Rossetti asked, "Who is this fine,
young artist? Your son?"

"No," replied the visitor sadly. "It is me -- 40 years ago. If
only I had heard your praise then. For you see, I became
discouraged and gave up too soon."
