Neville has a relaxed style and is just at home with a small intimate group and an acoustic guitar as he is with full backing in a packed auditorium.Neville's ability to memorise his material gives him a constantly growing repitoir of over 250 songs across the country spectrum which makes him a popular act at private functions and country venues.
In 1999 Neville released an independent album of his own material called True To Country which reflects his preference for traditional country. The strong and varied influences from his early years include Slim Dusty,Hank Williams,Charlie Pride and Merle Haggard while in later years he has been a keen follower of George strait and Randy Travis. Most recently he has unearthed some of the older traditionalist such as Lefty Frizzel and Webb Pierce.
With such a wide variety of influences Neville has developed his own style which people often feel familiar with though they find it hard to liken to one particular artist.
True To Country is a collection of Neville's best works to date and showcases his skills as a writer and a performer. The Album was recorded at Gary Brown's Hilltop Studio in Tamworth and features the cream of Tamworth's local musicians and artist.
If you like traditional country you are sure to enjoy this debut album from Neville Anderson.
