A BRIEF OUTLINE OF MY STUDIO

I first decided to build the studio when my job with the Public Works Department was being Done away with as are many other positions held by other friends of mine with varius Government Departments.During my 13 years with the Department I continued to work as a studio musician and Backing Guitarist for my father Geoff Brown and also Norma O Hara Murphy who comes from Uralla a small town near Armidale north of Tamworth.I was encouraged to get involved with Digital music when I first started Playing guitar for Clelia Adams back in about August of 1993. Clelia works with sequenced music and this was my first real look at the World of Digital music.I purchased my first Yamaha QY10 sequencer not long after starting to work with Clelia so that I could programme some of the songs that I needed to Sing with her.I have since found out that there are many places to go to on the Net where you can get the lattest songs that have already been Programmed. These are known as Midi Files. As the studio is beginning to take on more work now it doesn't leave me as much time to sequence my own songs that I would perform with Clelia so I will consider Tracking down some songs that have already been Programed. I purchased a Digitech Vocal harmonizer to use on live Gigs and had a bit of trouble trying to get it to work the way that it should so I was told to go and see a Guy called Finbar 'o Hallaran who lived on the Central coast of N.S.W..This Guy had an amazing Midi Recording studio that really impressed me.I was amazed to see that most of the work done in producing a CD can be done with the use of a PC. and some Tone Modules as well as the basic other Hardware that is used in the studio. From that point on I got to learning about Tone modules and Midi sequencing packages and how they are interrelated and connected so that they work correctly.Turramurra music in Sydney Australia were very helpful in getting me started with the hardware and software and how it basically worked, and also gave me some great deals on the knew equipment that I purchased from them.At the moment the Studio is capable of 16 Audio and 16 channels of Midi.I can record your finished Production strait to CD so that you can take it home and play it on your CD player or send it off to a Production company for Mass Production. If there is anything you would like to know please Mail me.
