Biography
Stan originates from Canberra and attributes his love for music mainly to his Mother's influences. She was a popular Canberra singer and performed regularly in clubs in and around the Canberra area and the South Coast. There would always be music in their house in one form or another. Stan also played in several Canberra bands during his early adult life. His country music influences are Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Jim Reeves, Don Williams, Jimmy Little, and Tex Morton.

Stan moved to Tamworth in 1997 due to his love for country music. Since being in Tamworth, Stan has recorded 5 Albums. Stan spent four years as a country music radio presenter in Tamworth where his Wednesday night show in particular was very popular. He was also involved in the management of station during 2001/2002.

Since moving to Tamworth Stan has performed extensively in clubs and other venues in Tamworth, throughout Northern NSW, the central to northern NSW coast, in and around the Sydney Metropolitan area, ACT and also throughout Eastern Queensland.

Stan has hosted and been the Master of Ceremonies of many shows and Country Music Jamborees held in Tamworth during the past few years. Some of them being, the Joe Maguires Pub Jamboree, Manilla Country Music Club concert, the Tamworth Services Club Jamboree, the Tamworth RSL Club Jamboree. He also hosted and performed at the Nashgrill Golden Disc Awards in 2002 and he was the Master of Ceremonies at the Inaugural 2003 ACMF/Mulga Music Launching Pad.

During the 2003 Tamworth Country Music Festival Stan was the winner of a TIARA (Tamworth Independent Artist Recognition Award) in the Golden Oldies Section. Stan has been a finalist for these awards three times, firstly in 1999 (Male Vocal Section), in 2002 and again in 2003 (Golden Oldies Section).

A strong supporter of the Australian Country Music Foundation, Stan has performed and hosted the monthly Country in the Courtyard as well as spreading the word of the work being done at the Foundation to preserve the history of Australian Country Music.

His  award winning album "NEW MOON OVER MY SHOULDER" has been well received by fans and the album received regular airplay on radio throughout Australia.

Stan has a large varied repertoire that covers all styles of Country Music. His versatility evident once he begins to perform his style of Australian and traditional country music.

Stan passed away on Sunday 30th December 2007 in John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle following a major heart attack.
