BRUCE.
Gustavis Robert Bruce selected "Glenloth" on 13th October, 1871 and
moved to live on that property on 4th March, 1872. In 1877, He
married Anne Thom. They had one son, George and three daughters,
Anne, Christiania and Margaret. Anne died on April 8th, 1883. On
November 24th 1884, Bob Bruce remarried Anne's younger sister,
Minnie. The children of this second marriage were Robert, Jane,
Peter and Gordon. Bob Bruce died on December 9th, 1926.
Following the death of Bob Bruce, two sons, Peter and Gordon
remained in Burramine, while George and Robert took up Savernake properties.
Peter married Margaret Prescott in 1929 and spent the remainder of his
life farming his Burramine property "Glenbervie". An only child
Mary was born in 1929 and following her marriage to Geoff Williams
moved to Brimmin, where Margaret, Jennifer, Lynette and Peter were
born. Peter's wife Maggie died in 1953 and Peter remained at
"Glenbervie" leasing out the property and keeping his garden, the
showplace of the district until his death in 1971.
Gordon had married Dorothy Loveridge in 1924, built "Kogarah" and
following the death of his Mother Minnie in 1934, moved to the
original selection "Glenloth" with his wife and four children,
Robert, Donald, Anne and Wallace. Gordon followed his father's
example in public life being a Shire Councillor for fourteen years.
Robert married Monica Blackberry in 1950 and followed his careeer as
manager of various areas with the State Electricity Commission in
Melbourne. Donald married Margaret Meriton in 1950 and farmed
"Kogarah" in Burramine. Leaving the district in 1960, he returned in
1974 and remarried to Joyce Lewin in 1976. Anne married Kennith
Birchall in 1952, moved to Tasmania and continued her nursing career
becoming Matron of the Burnie Hospital. Following Gordon's death in
1954, Wallace farmed "Glenloth" with his Mother Dorothy until his
marriage to Alexia McDonald in 1960 when Dorothy moved into
Yarrawonga, where she lived until her death in 1968.
Wallace together with his wife Lexie and two sons, Gordon and Dugald
continues to farm the original "Glenloth" selection.

Andrew Campbell and Catherine Hutchison lived at Piperston Farm, outside of Dalrymple, Ayrshire, from at least 1712 until at least 1752, as indicated by the birth registrations of their children beginning in 1712 and the entry regarding Catherines death on her tombstone in 1752. Nothing is known for certain of their parents or their origins.
Several different branches of desendants of Andrew have carried stories that Andrew was descended from John, first earl of Breadalbane, however there is no evidence to that effect. The most detailed account indicates that he fell out of favour with his father due to religious reasons, and left the highlands for Ayrshire, where he became a farmer.
Andrew's death is unrecorded, however he seemed to have been alive at the time of the death of his wife in 1752, based on the fact that on Catherines headstone it indicates that she was a spouse to Andrew, rather than relict of.
Four childrens births are recorded in the OPR. Quintin was also a son, evidenced by a later entry for the birth of his own natural son John in 1744, and was born most likely around March 1719. John was also likely a son of Andrew, as evidenced by his efforts to name a son Andrew, and by the fact that his grandson Thomas was buried together with Andrew and Catherine.
Of his 6 children, there is evidence that 4 had children, giving Andrew and Catherine at least 20 grandchildren.
It is surmised that Andrew was likely a person with considerable influence, given the fact that his descendants occupied a large portion of the farms in the area. His 3 sons occupied Piperston, Balgreen, and Malcolmston.

John was the natural son of his father and Margaret McMurtrie, a servant to Johns grandfather, Andrew Campbell. He was apparently raised together with his half brothers and sisters by his fathers marriage to Janet Rankine.
John was 4 when his father married, and 6 when their first child was born. Johns marriage is not noted in the OPR, however his first child was born in 1769 so he was likely married in 1768 or 69. He and his large family lived at Hollandbush until 1773/74, in Danston Farm from 1773/1774-1776/1777 and in Upper Skeldon after 1777, as evidenced by entries for births of his children, as well as the entry on his tombstone, which reads:
Erected by John Campbell, late farmer in Danston as a tribute of respect to the memory of Isabel Goudie who was 66 years his spouse and who died Feb 5 1831 age 87 years. Also of his son John who died May 20 1798 age 22. His daugther Catherine who died July 9 of the same year age 9. And his son John who died in 1772 age 1 year. John Campbell late farmer in Danston died Sept 22 1831 aged 88 years. Inscribed to his memory by his loving sons.
John and Isabel had 10 children, of whom one died as an infant (John), and another died at the age of 10 years (Catherine). Another son died at the age of 22 (John) and was not likely married. Another son Ebenezer (was reportedly crippled?), and lived with his sister Elizabeth and her husband James Thom, according to the census of 1841, at Pleasantfield farm at the time of his death in 1859, and was not married. The remaining 6 children all married, and John and Isabel had 47 grandchildren. John and Isabel are buried in Dalrymple cemetery.
Quintin died in Scotland, probably in Dalrymple (family letter to Michigan gives date of death), however his place of burial is unknown.
