Here's Peter!!

And then it was time for the fabulous Peter Byrne!!!!!! He really put on a wonderful show, and he's such a nice guy. He said it was probably the only time we'd see an Irish Catholic impersonating a New York Jew!!!!!!!! He's shorter than Neil, and doesn't really look like him - except his hair is how Neil's used to be - but his voice is great and he has all the moves!!!!!!!!!! We had a raffle draw when Peter took his break after about 50 minutes - I didn't win anything this time, but there were autographed CDs, Cds sent over specially from Neil, but not signed, pics and frog pens!!!!!! And we got a note from Neil, too - thanking the fan club for celebrating his birthday - that was quite a thrill :-}   The absolutely gorgeous cake was brought out and we took pics and Peter played and we all sang Happy Birthday to Neil - then Dianne asked Lissa (who was in charge of bookings, decorations - and several other odd jobs) and me to cut the cake!!! That was a real buzz - Jude has a pic on her site - link at the bottom of the page.

Then we got another 50 minutes of Peter - we did a conga line at one stage, and all got up on stage and tried to get him to join in. He shooed us off again, but had a good laugh. In fact, we got him laughing quite a few times while he was singing, and made him muff the words!!!!! We were all having a real ball. Almost everyone was up dancing nearly all night - including two 8 year old boys who just absolutely love Neil!!! I wanted to bring them home so they could teach my 8 year old grand son to be a fan!!!!!!

We got Peter to do a couple of encores, and when he finally finished, he signed menu's or whatever we had for him to sign for us, had his pic taken with us, and gave us kisses!!!!!!!!!! We sat around chatting and re-living the night for another hour or so - and finally made our way up to our rooms around 1.30 am. I don't think anyone slept very much though - we were nearly as high as if we'd actually been to a Neil concert!!!!!

Peter had a break after about 50 minutes of fabulous entertainment, and out came Neil's birthday cake....
Dianne asked Peter if he'd come back out to sing Happy Birthday with us - and he's such a great guy
that he was really happy to do that ...

Isn't it absolutely gorgeous?  Lissa and I had the honour of cutting it - I don't have a pic of that,
but I'll put a link at the end of these pages to Jude's site -
she has one, plus lots of other great shots...

We also had the raffle draws during Peter's break - signed CDs and some frog pens!!!!
Lots of lovely prizes going to very happy fans :-}

Lissa drawing the first raffle prize - then she took the box around the room
and chose people at ramdom to draw prizes.

Then it was back to Peter again for more great singing and fun :-}

These two eight year old fans were at the same table as me, and had a ball!!
They asked me if we were going to hear Sweet Caroline as it was their favourite,
and I told them I was sure Peter would sing it.
Here they are dancing with Klaus to their favourite Neil song :-}
