Here's a dolphin poem I wrote - it is a fantasy that I'd love to become a reality!!!!!!
Dolphin Magic.
Standing on the headland, gazing out to sea,
Drinking in the beauty, the calm serenity.
How far does the ocean go, where does it end?
The sun sinks lower, and the colours start to blend.
As the sky and the ocean seem to become one,
I see what Ive been looking for, the magic has begun.
The dolphins swim in closer, they dive, then jump so high,
Their silhouettes like velvet on the painted sky.
First two, then more arrive, to join in the show,
Their grace and joy enchant me, I know that I must go
And join these special creatures. They seem to beckon me
To come, explore the ocean, swim and dive, be free.
The smoothness of the water, so gentle on my skin,
Is a mystical sensation as I begin to swim;
And meet up with my dolphins, they come to welcome me,
And take me on a journey, far, far out to sea.
The ocean is unending, we swim, we dive, we play;
My friends seem to understand the things I want to say.
And I feel their gentle, soothing love enveloping my soul,
Teaching me their peaceful ways, helping make me whole.
Too soon the moon is rising, we must return to shore,
But I know that Ill come back again, to swim and learn some more
Of the magic of the dolphins, the peace and joy they give,
And how theyd like to help us find,
A better way to live.
