Julius von der Boxmühle (imp Gmy)

Proudly introducing "Puff"
This page last updated 19th July 2009

Puf is out of quarantine and really enjoying his freedom getting to play with Georgia's dogs. He is going through awful moult so looks a bit "moth eaten".
Here is photo of him with Rasta (Ch Hochspitz Sirocco) and Cricket (Hochspitz Flambouyant) the only girl from Rhapsody's litter.

Puff jumps for joy during his first day in quarantine!

Puff arrived late last night and of course Georgia and I visited him in quarantine today. We were told he had not had his vet check yet and so were not allowed to take him to the excercise area but luckily for Puff and us the vet arrived while we were there and once given the all clear, we were allowed to take him out to play.
Georgia and I are just blown away by this absolutely gorgeous boy who has a temperament to match. Over the years I have imported around 8 dogs and all of them have been a little "shell shocked" upon arrival after such a long journey. Not so Puff who greeted us like he has known us all his life.
I am going to be a very big boy when I grow up
Yep, butter wouldn't melt in my mouth -;))
It is rare for me that imports go according to plan and unfortunately we had to swap Jack for his brother Julius as sadly one of Jack's testicles disappeared upwards. We thank Hein and Metha for yet another long trip in very inclement weather to return Jack and collect Julius and to the breeders for agreeing to the swap.
Yes, You guessed it, a few weeks later, Jack's recalcitrant teste re-appeared and Hein and Metha decided to take him. Jack was over joyed to see them again -;))
So Julius, aka"Puff 2" is due to arrive in Australia mid June and will live with Georgia. Here is a photo of him with Jack and Max further behind

"Puff 1" getting his first taste of snow back in December.

Eeeww! What's cold wet stuff??
Much nicer to be where it is warm and comfortable

Puff is already travelling. Hein and Metha took him to Holland to the Young Dogs' Day where he made some new friends

With poor Aussie having such terrible hips, Georgia and I badly needed to find another boy ASAP for Australia. We were really hoping for a pup from Twister and Elixir in Belgium, but Elixir didn't get pregnant. Then we tried for another Twister pup from Norway but at last minute breeders changed their minds about send to Australia. Then came a gorgeous litter in Belgium and we were to get Hymie but by 12 weeks old he still had an undescended testicle (which, I might add appeared just a couple of weeks later!) So we were very lucky that Hein was in Germany and he and Metha could go and see the Boxmühle litter which was 7 weeks old. They chose Jack for us. He will live with Georgia and "Puff" may not end up as his pet name.

11 weeks old
Puff has settled in well with Hein & Metha in France
