Sydney Heritage Fleet- "Fish & Ships" tour

The Outing comprises a tour of the James Craig and morning tea followed by a trip on a 1943 launch, Harmon, around to the Sydney Heritage Fleet workshops at Rozelle Bay for a tour of the facilities, the fleet, and restoration work in progress. Afterwards we reboard the Harmon for a fixed fish, chips, salad lunch at the Sydney Fish Markets.

Travel will be by the 8.45 a.m. train from Epping platform 1 (2nd or 3rd carriages) for Central (country platforms) where we change for a short ride on the light rail to Pyrmont Bay station. We leave via the "rear" station exit for a short walk across Murray Street to the "Big Anchor" outside the Maritime Museum where we meet our tour guide.

After lunch a short walk will bring us to the Fish Market light rail station where we board the light rail for return to Central station and home. Alternatively, if you feel adventurous, you can take the light rail in the opposite direction and go to the end of the line at Dulwich Hill Station for a mainline train to Redfern, Central or Town Hall. Cost is $40 which includes tour and fixed lunch at "The Deep" cafe.

Please Note. 1. This is on Tuesday, not Monday! 2. There is a strict upper limit, imposed by SHF, of 30 participants—no exceptions! 3. Sturdy, enclosed footwear is required—no sandals, high heels, etc.
