Thursday 28 September 2006

Our walk on Thursday 28 September follows the Jamison Creek at Wentworth Falls, known as the Charles Darwin Walk

We will assemble at Epping Station for the 8.05 am train to Strathfield, where we will change for the 8.38 am intercity train to Wentworth Falls. On arrival, morning tea will be enjoyed at the nearby Wilson Park. The 2 kilometre walk runs in a north-south direction through native ferns and grasses, with many exotic plants growing along the creek, It is also a favoured place for bird-watching. The track rises to the Wentworth Falls Picnic Area where many magnificent views of the area can be enjoyed. We will return leisurely along Falls Road, admiring the well established gardens and trees, before joining the train, homeward bound.
