Our March walk begins with our assembly at Epping station on Thursday 26 March 2009 for the 8.38am train, getting off at Wynyard and walking to the Botanic Gardens off Macquarie Street.

After a walk through the gardens, visiting a range of historical statues, the herb garden, the gardens shop and other sights we will enjoy morning tea at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.

Following, we will walk back along the foreshore adjacent to the gardens, past the Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay to the Rocks.

We will then enjoy a walk through some of the more historic points in the Rocks, stopping at Dawes Point, beneath the Harbour Bridge, for lunch.

After lunch, those who wish to may explore the Rocks area, whilst those who wish to do so may walk to the Sydney Observatory to watch the Time Ball drop at 1.00pm and view whatever exhibition is on at the time.

After our visit concludes we will walk back to Wynyard Station in time to catch the 1.48pm train to Epping and Cheltenham.
