The wind up walk for the year will be a crossing of three Victoria Road Bridges. It is a ‘social’ walk whereby walkers can purchase (or bring) both morning tea and lunch.
We assemble at Epping Station for the 8:54am train to West Ryde where we change to a bus to Huntleys Point. We walk across Gladesville Bridge to Drummoyne to catch a bus to Birkenhead Point. Here we can buy morning tea and there is a pleasant area on the point to have it.
We then walk across the Iron Cove Bridge, before catching another bus to White Bay for a walk across the Anzac Bridge to the Sydney Fish Markets. For those who wish to buy lunch, there is an enormous variety of seafood in all price ranges available, and picnic tables are provided to eat at.
The walks program for the year concludes after lunch with a leisurely walk across Pyrmont Bridge to Town Hall Station for return to Epping.
