The walk for September is from Manly Wharf to Sydney Harbour National Park and on to Balgowlah Heights. We assemble at Epping Station for the 8:54am train to Circular Quay, then by ferry to Manly.
After morning tea at Manly Cove (bring or buy) we begin the walk past Delwood and Fairlight Beaches to Esplanade Park and North Harbour Reserve. We follow the the North Harbour Walk to Forty Baskets Beach, where we enter the Sydney Harbour National Park.
We will have lunch at Reef Beach, site of a camp during the 1930’s Depression, when it was also known as Pirates Camp. After lunch the track climbs through spectacular bushland to a number of scenic lookouts. From Arabanoo Lookout we leave the Park to get a bus for return to Wynyard and Epping.
