OUTINGS

March

Our outing this month on 20th March will be a morning Historical Tour of The University of Sydney followed by lunch at a nearby Asian restaurant.

The architecture and beauty of The University of Sydney are something special and spectacular.

The two hour tour begins at 10am at the Clock Tower which we will be able to climb for a panoramic view of the campus and surrounds. It then goes on to visit The Great Hall, MacLauren Hall, the Main Quadrangle, the Nicholson Museum, the Macleay Museum, the War Memorial Art Gallery and The Chancellor’s Garden. We will have the services of two guides to answer any questions.

At the end of the tour we will catch the bus to the Suan I-San Thai restaurant in King Street Newtown for a taste of Thailand. The restaurant is not licensed but BYO is acceptable for those who require it. Non-alcoholic drinks, teas etc are available at members’ own cost direct from the restaurant.

Travel on the day will be by train and bus. Assemble at Epping Station at 8:30am to catch the 8:38am train to the city, where we transfer to a bus for the University. Travel to Newtown will also be by bus.

Cost for the day is $15 (plus fares and drinks if required.)
