Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum

At this museum we can take a unique ride in a restored historic Sydney steam tram dating from the 1890s, explore the oldest remaining Steam locomotive roundhouse in NSW, witness restoration works being carried out on tramway and railway exhibits, view the model railway layout, and see the photographic display of local history provided by the Springwood Historical Society.

Please note that this outing is a week later than usual, in order to coincide with a special steam day at the museum.

A light lunch (sausage, bread roll, salad) will be provided by the museum, and is included in the cost. Drinks (tea, coffee, soft) are available at extra cost at the museum shop.

We will catch the 8:41 train from Epping platform 2, changing at Strathfield to the 9:22 on platform 3. If all goes well, the steam tram will meet us at the Valley Heights signal box.

Cost for museum and lunch: $20.00.
