Monday 27th April 2009

Contrary to previous advice, Monday 27th April is not a public holiday.

Everyone is no doubt aware that at long last the Epping to Chatswood railway line opened in February and by all accounts is a remarkable piece of engineering and construction. I know many of you will have already ‘tested it out’, but at the suggestion of one of our members, I have arranged for us to travel to Chatswood on Monday 27th April for lunch at the Chatswood RSL Club, which is a short walk from Chatswood Station. Lunch is booked for 12:30pm.

Trains leave Epping every fifteen minutes and I suggest we meet at Epping shortly after 11:30am to catch the 11:46am train. Travel is free for the first 100 days.

Cost for lunch is $10.00.
