Monday 21 March 2005
This outing follows on from the guest speaker’s talk on Monday 14 March. Our guest speaker, Mr Don Ferguson, has arranged an inspection of the Morris McMahon and Company’s can and small drum manufacturing plant at Arncliffe. This outing is limited to 15 participants
Also on this day, there will be an inspection of the modern Wolli Creek Railway Station, with its lifts and destination boards. This may give us some idea of what the new Epping Station will look like. Following the look at the station you will be told some of the history of this area and then inspect the display centre provided by Australand for the apartments and facilities that they are building. Following this we can inspect the grounds of the modern development to the south of the station and then return to the station to catch a train to Arncliffe for our lunch.
