Monday 20 April 2015

The April outing is a guided tour of the Sydney Town Hall on Monday 20th. We will meet at Epping station to catch the 9.32 a.m. train on platform 2. If meeting at Epping is inconvenient please feel free to use alternatives, bearing in mind that we need to be on the Town Hall steps by 10.20 a.m. Please note that there is a limit of 30 participants on the guided tour. The tour commences at 10.30 a.m. and takes about 2 hours. There is a charge of $5 per person.

This is an opportunity to see the historical, architectural and archaeological aspects of this famous building. Access is available to areas not normally seen by the public including the lower floor grave sites.

On completion of the tour we have a choice. There is a free organ concert by Mark Quarmby in the Town Hall from 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. Those who don’t wish to attend the concert can proceed to the Red Room at 99 ON YORK (formerly The Bowlers Club) for lunch at a cost of $25. Please let Ray know your intentions when booking
