Monday 19th November 2007 – Coach Tour

The November outing will be a coach tour to the Illawarra, highlighted by a visit to the Sri Venkateswara Temple at Helensburgh and a viewing of the Sea Cliff Bridge at Coalcliff.

This Hindu temple started building in 1978, was constructed in the traditional Indian style of architecture and was consecrated in 1985. It is spectacular in both its construction and location, and is one of the most famous temples in the southern hemisphere, revered by Hindus all over Australia as a centre for spiritual guidance and solace.

The Sea Cliff Bridge is likewise a piece of spectacular engineering as it snakes along the cliff face at Coalcliff. It was a feature of the Club’s April walk and was most impressive.

We will assemble at the West Epping Panthers Bowling Club at 8:15am for an 8:30am departure for Bulli Lookout where morning tea will be taken. After morning tea we go to Helensburgh to the temple, then on to Coalcliff and then to the Master Builders Club in Wollongong for an ‘all you can eat’ smorgasbord lunch.

Cost for the day is $35.00 all inclusive.
