"LADY EUCUMBENE CRUISE"
Our outing this month is a scenic luncheon cruise on the Georges River, enjoying the fresh air and fantastic views on board the historic and luxuriously appointed 51 foot ferry "MV Lady Eucumbene". The boat was built at La Perouse in 1943, originally named "Cam Fisher" and was used on the La Perouse to Kurnell ferry service until 1957 when it was transferred to Lake Eucumbene, renamed, and used for freight and passengers on the Lake. In the 70’s she was returned to the Georges River and in 2002 underwent a complete refurbishment.
During the three hour cruise we will be served a buffet of cold meats , with bread rolls and salads. Tea or coffee is available on request. The vessel has all weather comfort and a fully licensed bar serving a range of beers and wines. Drinks on board are at your own individual cost.
The cruise departs from the Public Jetty in Sans Souci Park, adjacent to the northern end of the Captain Cook Bridge, at 11:30am returning around 2:30pm.
Transport will be by own vehicle or car pool. Those who want to car pool, meet at Panthers West Epping Bowling Club at 10:30am for departure to Sans Souci. There is ample parking available in the car park. We require a minimum of 25 for the outing to proceed, and the maximum for the vessel is 40, so early booking is important to ensure your place.
Cost for the day is $35.
