Vaucluse House

Our May outing is a visit to Vaucluse house, including a guided tour. The original Vaucluse farm dates back to 1803, and the house owes its development to William Charles Wentworth, who occupied it with his family between 1827 and 1853. He was the subject of Andrew Tink's fascinating talk in February. The grounds at one stage occupied 206 hectares, and now occupy 10 hectares.

After the visit we will proceed by bus to the Rose Bay RSL for lunch.

We will assemble at Epping station to catch the 0840 train from platform 1, changing at Central for the Eastern suburbs line, then at Edgecliff for the 325 bus.

The cost for the tour and lunch will be $20.
