Train trip to Katoomba followed by morning tea at the Parragon Café and lunch at the Carrington Hotel.

Meet at Epping Station to catch the 7.47 am train from platform 2 (second carriage from the front) and changing at Strathfield to the 8.31 train to Katoomba from platform 3. The Katoomba train has four carriages with toilets at the front of car 2 and the rear of car 3

At Katoomba a short walk takes us to the Paragon Café for morning tea and then there is a break of about an hour during which you can visit the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre (fabulous views over Katoomba Township and beyond) or the Antiques / Junk shop (both nearby ) or you can do own thing, but you wlll need to be at The Carrinton for lunch at 12.30 pm.

We can take the 2.14 pm train from Katoomba for a return to arrive at Strathfield at about 4 pm.
