16 October 06 – Australia Aviation Museum & Cabramatta

The October outing on Monday 16th 2006 will be a visit to the Australia Aviation Museum in the morning and Cabramatta CBD in the afternoon.

We will assemble at West Epping Bowling Club’s area at 8.30 a.m. and depart by bus at 9.00 a.m.

On arrival we will have a guided tour of the Australia Aviation Museum. The Museum has a great display of aircraft, engines and memorabilia, which covers the whole exciting history of Australian aviation. The collection includes the Australian-made DH Drovers and Avon Sabre. The Sabre is the first aircraft in Australia to fly faster than the speed of sound.

We will have a BBQ lunch in the Museum at noon.

After lunch we continue our outing at 1.30 p.m. to Cabramatta. It will be a half-hour guided walking tour of the Cabramatta CBD to discover its sights, history and people in an exotic and adventurous world. We will have one hour of shopping for the ladies before we leave at 3.30 p.m. for Epping by bus.

Cost for the day is $25.00 per person.
