Monday 15th February 2010

The outing in February will be a scenic cruise on the Brisbane Water on the vintage passenger launch Codock II, departing Woy Woy and passing Saratoga, Hardys Bay, Ettalong and Wagstaff before returning to Woy Woy for lunch.

Codock II was built in 1945 and from 1947 was used by Cockatoo Dockyard to transport employees to work on Cockatoo Island, or to and from ships in Sydney Harbour. After the closure of the Dockyard the vessel changed hands a couple of times before being purchased in 2006 by Central Coast Ferries for use as a passenger launch on Brisbane Water.

The ferry can only comfortably accommodate 40 persons so early booking is important to ensure your place.

At the conclusion of our scenic ferry trip we will walk across the street from the wharf to The New Bay View Hotel for lunch in their brasserie.

Meet at Epping Station at 8:30am for departure to the Central Coast on the 8:40am train, arriving at Woy Woy Station at 9:28am. After lunch, trains return to Epping from Woy Woy at 1:18pm, 1:51pm, 2:18pm, and 3:02pm.

Cost for the day is $25, plus drinks at own cost.
