Michael Fahey

Michael Fahey was born in Sydney in 1962. He grew up in Killara and attended St Ignatius’ College Riverview. After graduating with an economics degree from the University of Sydney, he worked in investment and stock broking. A keen rugby player and cricketer, Michael’s first major purchase as a collector was Mike Whitney’s baggy green cap which he bought in 1991. This inspired him to weave his passions for sport and history into a business, and since 1993 he has been trading in sporting antiques and memorabilia. In 2003, he merged with Australia’s leading officially licensed sporting memorabilia company, Legends Genuine Memorabilia. He is married with three children and lives in Longueville.
