Each building is individual!

In buildings, our creative aspirations are linked with the material universe. This is where we express our spirit as well as cater for our physical needs. Feng Shui improves this ‘marriage between heaven and earth’, as it is called in China. It enables a building’s occupants to function at their best, - to have good health, communication and energy levels; and to express their inherent potential and greatness into the world.

FORMS, COMPASS AND TIME

Soulspace applies traditional Xuan Kong Feng Shui

(Xuan Kong, or Flying Star Feng Shui is the most advanced system of Feng Shui. It considers both the time and space of a building)

This takes, apart from space, also the factor of time into consideration. Everything in this physical universe changes over time, nothing stays the same.

In this way, a building undergoes changes, which need to be taken into account for Feng Shui to be effective. There are smaller annual changes, and major energetic shifts that take place every 20 years - one such major shift occurred February 2004.

To determine the intrinsic energies of a space, Soulspace constructs an energy map. This is individual for each building and is based on its construction period, as well as its exact compass orientation.

The way this intrinsic energy interacts with exterior forms such as bodies of water, roads, mountains or buildings, as well as with the forms of the building such as doors, pathways, walls and furniture, determines the quality of energy, and the quality of life for its occupants, in a building.

A building often carries a theme that brings with it a potential for its inhabitants to experience specific issues or fortunes. This may or may not mean money.

RIGHT USE OF SPACE

Every environment in this universe is made up of a dynamic balance between the complementary opposites of Yin & Yang

(Yin: energy conducive to relaxation, sleep, health & relationships; Yang: energy conducive to activity, business, doors, pathways).

A building's energy map, constructed by Soulspace, determines the individual distribution of beneficial Yin & Yang in a building.

For good Feng Shui, areas suited to activity should contain the major doors and workspaces in order to bring abundance, money and wealth. And that areas suited to quietness and relaxation should contain the bedrooms as these nurture health and relationships.  Money should not be involved here.

Ideally, houses are designed utilising these principles. The result are spaces where you can relax deeply, work successfully and play with pleasure. Where Feng Shui principles are not followed in the design, a Soulspace Feng Shui consultation can detect a building's weak points and harmful areas, and remedy them through the placement of cures and the redirection of energy flows.

The location of the front door is one of the most important aspects in creating a good building. It carries whatever energy is at the door to the inside and gives the building its character.    (If no good front door can be created, pathways to and from that door, as well as certain cures, can improve such a situation)

ELEMENTAL REMEDIES

Chinese Elements are wood, fire, earth, metal and water.  These represent stages in the transformation of energy, and are used to  drain harmful influences and strengthen beneficial energies.

There is no building that contains only beneficial energies. The universe is made up of an interplay between beneficial and harmful forces. To enhance beneficial energies, and to diminish the influence of harmful ones, Soulspace employs the application of Elemental Remedies. Through the use of colour, shape and material in interior decorating, optimum results are achieved.

The use of the colour red is interesting to note. It can be very detrimental as in this time period some very heavy sickness producing energies get energised by reds; and it can be very favourable as there are some very gentle energies conducive to communication and relationships that are enhanced by the colour red as well. Sometimes reds are essential to nurture this energy and support small children.

To determine a favourable area where to have reds, orange, or purples, an energy map needs to be constructed.

Soulspace Feng Shui is dedicated to minimise any harmful potential in a building, and to bring out the best in people and their environments.   Money, health, personal relationships and other factors in life may be involved in good Feng Shui.
