"...and if I remember my favourite things..."

I've been brought up in a Christian family, always went to church and Sunday school...but I think really accepted Christ sometime early in my University days.   No whizz-bang conversion experiences to relate, I'm afraid.  Akiko became a Christian in early uni.

    As mentioned on the front page, it's Christ that has brought up together (at the NMCG).  And it is Christ that continues to keep us together as we grow closer to Him.  (Very slowly, I'm afraid, but anyway.)

    We currently attend Isso Baptist, which is a nice church, and reminds us of Swanton Street COC in many ways.  We go to a Wednesday night bible-study, which has been a great source of encouragement and spiritual stimulation!  We also attend Newcastle OCF, to help out with transport and so on.

Well, it's a job.  I'm lucky it's an interesting one.

Armed with compacts galor, a trusty old Nikon SLR (thanks Papa), and a Kodak DC120 digital camera - oh, and the Kodak Book of Photography - we're taking to this with a vengeance.  While strictly amateurish in our photo quality, check out our Photo Album pages for bits and pieces of our work (except the wedding ones, of course).

Anything that is small(ish), beeps, and otherwise does cool stuff.  A good link for this sort of stuff is The Gadgeteer, another generally useful info site is UGeek.com.   Check them out.

I like to write stuff every now and again.  Haven't had anything published for ages, but most recently revoworld.com is web-publishing some of my articles on gadgets.  See the link above, under Photography.

    My ideal is to combine this with Gadgets.  I want a Gadget I can carry around and write on at any time...since last updating this website, this dream has become a reality, thanks to the Psion Revo.  See the revoworld.com website for more info on this fantastic little beastie.

We both play the piano, if not very well.  Chopin is fun to tinker with (for me).   Otherwise, we like almost any kind of music except heavy metal, and other really weird stuff.  I'm currently trying to "repair" a piano.  I'm at the tuning stage now...well, actually I've given up.  Most of the keyboard is tuned, but I got sick of breaking the bass strings, so at the moment, near enough is definitely close enough.
