I flew to Toronto, Canada for three weeks on the 6th of July 2000. I attended a program called SCORE 2000. This program focusses primarily on Information Technology, computer programming, access to I.T for people with a vision impairment, leadership skills and career exploration.
The program hosts 2 international students from around the world. This year I was chosen as one of the two to attend the program.

Selections were made via an application and selection process to determine the best candidate for the program.
One of the criteria was to submit a 500 word essay on "My vision for the future of information technology for blind and deaf/blind people." Click here to read the essay I submitted I hope it's of some interest to you.

My Sponsors

I would like to thank most warmly, my two sponsors for this trip.
Both the Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind who have been most generous in funding my trip to Canada.
The R.V.I.B paid for my airfares to and from Toronto and the C.N.I.B. paid for the program costs, accommodation, food and other activities.
Without their generous support I would have been unable to attend this educationally beneficial program.
