	What's this?

When you clikc the icon that says "Click to chat" you will be directed to a pop-up chat window similar to a chat room window. This window allows you to chat directly to me in real time using your keyboard.

You may experience some initial delays while the chat is initiated. The HumanClick chat service contacts my computer and if i am on-line, I am given the option to chat with you.
If I am available to chat to you, a chat session will be initiated.
If i am not on-line or away from the computer, a window will pop-up allowing you to leave me a message if you choose.

How to chat

When the chat window appears, wait until the chat session has been established. You will see:
"You are chatting with Chris."
You are then free to chat to me.
To chat, simply click on the text box provided and enter the text you wish to send to me and then press the "send" button.
I will receive your text in real time (almost instantly) and will respond immediately.
Please note: You may experience delays in response times due to time taken to type the text to be sent.

Chatting with a screen-reader

The chat window is accessible to most modern screen-readers. However, you may need to use the Jaws cursor when using Jaws For Windows to read the reply text from me. Use forms mode with JFW to enter your text in the edit box provided and tab once and press enter on the "send" button.
Use the Jaws cursor or equivalent in other screen-readers to navigate the response from me.
