Tull finally come back to Australia!
Nothing Is Easy (from Stand Up, 1969) - great, never heard this live before! Living In The Past (from Living in the Past, 1972) God rest ye merry gentleman (from The Christmas Album, 2003) Wind up/Locomotive Breathe (from Aqualung, 1971) - followed by Ian and his balloons while Cheerio and the intro of Black Sunday played.
My Tull Story: In 1974, a thirteen year old boy( that is, me) lay huddled in bed with his crappy transistor radio up against his ear and heard this strange music, full of driving flute (yes flute), guitar riffs, time changes and weird lyrics. An incredible joy spread throughout his body and he knew he had found music that spoke to him. This music was the title track of Warchild by Jethro Tull. By the time Tull toured Australia in 1977 I had all the previous Tull albums and in the year 2000 I have them all still, and they are still wonderful, and show that rock can be intelligent, lyrical, clever and for the brain as well as for the heart. Tull fans in the US and Europe are spoilt by regular tours and news. For Aussies, the Internet has finally given us access to a band that is continually ignored by our media and rarely played on radio. Welcome to my Aussie Tull site. Go you good thing!
