Following are some before and after photos of some restoration projects
First is an old RCA Radiola 18 "coffin" style radio case that I purchased on e-bay. It has suffered many years of neglect, it had serious water damage causing rust to the screws and stains to the wood and also caused some of the ply to separate. It has bad scratches, dints and structural damage caused when the left hand front corner was "hacked off."

Partly Restored
It still requires several coats of shellac, refitting of the polished brass fittings and camouflage of the repaired areas by using coloured dyes in the shellac.

Note the damaged corner is quite sturdy again after applying 2-pack "plasti-bond"

Not one that I restored but a nice and similar RCA Radiola 16

This floor model a Australian AWA radio that friend Bob Willis located in a garage sale at Hervey Bay, Queensland. It had been painted in "mission brown" house paint. It is partly restored, more work is needed in the shellac to improve the gloss and electronic restoration will be done on this lovely set which features a "magic eye" valve.

If the brown paint wasn't enough it had been vandalised on the inside with
yellow paint
Percy (pictured) kindly constructed some sturdy wooden boxes from some ancient radios. Here are the before and after photos.
This old chair was also restored. It was originally painted in fire-engine red enamel paint. This piece sadly has a fair amount of borer damage.
